What is a Public Adjuster...
Public Insurance Adjusters are Professional Claims Handlers who advocate for the Insurance Policy Holder. Public Adjusters are Licensed by the Department of Insurance in the states in which they operate.
Public Insurance Adjuster’s sole responsibility is to the Policy Holder and not the Insurance Company. They offer insurance claims representation, while preparing and negotiating on behalf of the Policy Holder with their Insurance Company.
Whether its evaluating coverage within an Insurance Policy, inspecting and documenting building damage or preparing a loss of business income claim. In short, we know your Insurance Policy provisions, requirements and most importantly your entitlements.

Mr. Townsend started with Associated Adjustment Bureau Inc., in 1992. Appointed President and CEO in 1994. Mr. Townsend is licensed in Arizona and Oregon and has exclusively represented insurance policy holders for over 28 years as a Public Insurance Adjuster. Building damage Appraiser and Expert Witness on both residential and commercial losses. With construction experience dating back to 1980 and as Partner Managing Member of a Commercial / Residential Building Contractor for 10 years he is not only experienced in construction principles and practices he is accredited with the Xactware Corporation and is a Certified Operator of Xactimate, the Industry Standard in Property Damage Estimating and Evaluation.

John K. McDougall
Mr. McDougall has over 46 years experience as a multi-line Insurance adjuster. For the last 25 years he has been a practicing Public Insurance Adjuster working exclusively on behalf of the insurance policy holder. Mr. McDougall has over 21 years as an expert witness and has consulted with numerous legal firms as an expert in the claims handling process. In addition to his property and casualty license, he is Certified as a Paralegal (CP), Property Law Claims Specialists (PCLS) and Real Estate Appraiser (CREA). Mr. McDougall’s professional qualifications, extensive experience and vast knowledge of Insurance Policy language places him at the top of his profession.
